I don't know who came up with this, but being sick in summer is STUPID!

For the last 5 days I've had tonsillitis, I hate it. Basically I just slept in fewer with a sore throat for several days in a row. Nothing special.

When it got better, I still went to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day. I'm not a fan of superhero movies, but SPIDER-MAN is just a classic (Tobey Maguire one love). The trilogy with Andrew Garfield completely passed me by, and I'm not sorry about it. As for the recent films with Tom Holland, I don't really like the character type. Although Holland himself is quite cute.

Well, honestly, I still have flashbacks from ICE detention centers, when out of sheer boredom and inability to occupy myself with anything, I had to watch a lot of television. Fortunately, I had some of my books (I took, for example, "Press Reset. How the gaming industry ruins careers and gives a second chance"), and some were sent to me by friends. Nevertheless, television was the only basic entertainment (and sometimes a problem) besides socializing. In each detention centers it was absolutely different, but on average they showed 3 cable channels with movies: FX, SyFy and AMC. Let me figure it out now!

FX

Belongs to Disney. For this reason, I've seen the same superhero films dozens of times. The broadcast schedule there is rather meager. In short, the channel is basically just obsessively playing the same blockbusters from recent years + an countless number of superheroines. You can binge for a couple of evenings, but for months it's just unbearable!

But what shock I was in when after another evening marathon of Avengers (and any movie that airs from 8 to 10 in the evening REPEATS immediately after! Magic!) I wake up the next morning in a fierce depression... and not expecting anything good from the impending day... I suddenly notice that on a small 40-inch television, hung at a height of ~2.5 meters (~8ft), with barely audible sound and without the ability to turn on subtitles shows IT!

FIGHT CLUB

David Fincher one love

I want to thank the TV director for this outing. They made my day back then! And this was really the only time this movie was shown on FX! Well, isn't that just the most obvious joke?! Yeah..?

FXX

FX has several branches. For example, FXX, which shows shows and cartoons. This happened rarely, but I managed to watch "The Simpsons," "Family Guy" and even "South Park" several times! But the locals didn't take it very well. "Cartoons," they say, "are for kids to watch! And I, a 30-year-old slob, don't watch!"

SyFy

By the name it's clear that they mainly show science fiction there. But there's a nuance! Mostly these are just low-budget films! At some point I started to actively hate this channel, because they got tired of showing back in the 20th time 2012. It's bad! Nevertheless, the assortment here is more interesting than FX. Of the most interesting thing I saw here is the film The Outfit. Really enjoyed the ending, I recommend!

AMC

They turned it on for some reason rarely, even with such an option available. But compared to the first two, this is my personal sanctuary. To watch an American film classic like "Back to the Future", "Goodfellas" and "The Green Mile" - my respect!

And that's it in general. The remaining options are:

India Today

India's main news channel. Looks... like some kind of mess, forgive me. The TV channel is in constant ALERT ⚡ ALERT ⚡ ALERT ⚡ NEWS ⚠️ NEWS ⚠️ NEWS ⚠️ mode. Everything sparkles, everything shines, FONT WITH GOLD!

They also have a satirical show So Sorry. You know, cringe is when you feel a sense of shame for something external. So every time I saw this segment, I literally felt CRINGE all over my body for this CGI!

Pinya-the-Drorf is so young here!

Latin American television

I don't speak Spanish, so I can only guess what they showed. Basically the local residents of the detention centers watched endless Mexican love series and the same endless talk shows about love and dates.

But it's probably worth saying that Mexican TV channels can also absolutely calmly show an unforgettable dismemberment, some kind of hard (literally really hard) video of beating people, someone blew someone up, someone set someone on fire. What kind of cruelty is this anyway? By the way, the show is called Alarma TV.

And separately I mention the TV channel

MTV Tres

Oh guys, hold me, I feel sick! I'm not a fan of Latin American music and pop culture, it's just incomprehensible to me. But I didn't think that Latin pop could be a torture. At first it was perceived as a joke: "Ha-ha, ha-ha, they turned on Tres again." But at a moment of complete and round-the-clock occupation of the television in the block where I was in Winn Correctional Center, I and all the other people sometimes had to listen to and sleep under this. If anyone understands, then explain just one thing: why in all Latin pop is the same beat, just with a different frequency?
