This post is dedicated to Sasha Litskevich

With sorrow and immense regret, I inform you that my former colleague, with whom I worked at ChillBase and Cubic Games, has died. In Tashkent, he was struck and killed by a car while calmly walking along the sidewalk.

Sasha was a wonderful person, a top-class programmer, a remarkable colleague, a good musician, and my friend. It was precisely thanks to him and his recommendations that I was hired to work at Cubic Games back then.

For a certain period of his life he lived in Batumi, and we met several times. Once, the electricity in my apartment in Batumi was cut off for the whole day, and Sasha suggested I come to his place and work there. At that time we were working side by side on the NPC system... I was simply shocked by how well a person could understand what he was doing. Honestly, developers like Sasha are ONE IN A MILLION. This is a huge loss.

Besides that, I once visited him at a party he threw. And I was once again convinced of what a wonderful, friendly, kind, and sensitive person he was. That was when I learned that he played the guitar and sang. It always amazed me how many completely diverse things he knew and could do, and wanted to learn and study. Simply a genius...

The last time we saw each other was in Armenia, when I went to the Cubic Games corporate event. Back then we talked a lot, had drinks, and discussed future plans about moving and life in general.

Rest in peace, Sasha. I won't forget you. Thank you so much for everything you did for me, and I'm sorry that I perhaps didn't give enough in return.
