Hedonists Don't Get Older

And in the meantime, let's listen

I know that the song has different meaning, but I just want to say IT'S LITERALLY ME!

Translation of the pic above: The album came out in 2021, and the band is from Minsk - that matters. The world in the song is described as looking like burnt-out ruins, and that's not an abstract metaphor. Hedonism here isn't about pleasure - it's about surviving a situation you can't influence at all, where the only thing left is to make yourself hurt a little less right now. The closing "check out how good I am at this" is pathetic bravado: the guy is bragging about having learned not to feel anything.

Context: Minsk is the capital of Belarus. In 2020 there were mass protests against Lukashenko's rigged election, followed by a brutal crackdown - thousands arrested, tortured, forced into exile. This album came out in the middle of that aftermath. "Burnt-out ruins" is what the country actually felt like to people living there.

P.S. Unfortunately, Pasha Durov once again did everything ass-backwards and doesn't allow posting YouTube previews using sendRichMessage Or maybe I'm just blind.

P.S.S. By the way, on the website these same links are inserted as embeds
